Abstract Collision detection is mainly to judge whether there intersection between virtual models, which means collision. Bounding box one of the important methods collision detection. It uses regular geometry with simple structure replace complex model be detected. A point cloud usually contains hundreds or thousands polygons when meshed. When tests are performed directly on two objects, calculation process relatively complex. In order reduce computational cost, bounding test was before test.
